Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications while ensuring scalability, seamless user experience, and adherence to modern architecture patterns.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Android Developer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin/Java and Android SDK.

  • Integrate REST APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality and user experience.

  • Implement modern architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture for scalable solutions.

  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth functionality across devices.

  • Manage local databases (SQLite/Room) and integrate with cloud-based services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive UI/UX following Material Design principles.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

  • 3–6 years of experience in Android application development.

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, and experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

  • Proven experience with Android architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture), performance optimization, and mobile app lifecycle management.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
