API Integration Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an API Integration Engineer for a Contract with a client in Titusville, NJ (Remote). The ideal candidate is responsible for building and maintaining modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript, including front-end development and API-driven architectures.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

API Integration Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) with well-defined endpoints, data models, and standards.

• Integrate multiple systems such as CRMs, ERPs, and third-party platforms using webhooks, middleware, and custom integration solutions.

• Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure accurate and consistent data flow across interconnected systems.

• Implement robust security measures including authentication, authorization (OAuth, JWT), and encryption for secure data exchange.

• Develop and execute testing strategies (unit, integration, performance) to ensure reliability and scalability of integrations.

• Maintain comprehensive API documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless integration delivery.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of experience in API development, system integration, or related engineering roles.

• Strong hands-on experience in designing and building scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL/SOAP) and integrating enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and third-party platforms.

• Proven expertise in implementing secure data exchange (OAuth, JWT, encryption) along with solid understanding of API architecture, testing strategies, and documentation best practices.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $45.00 per hour
