Data Centre/Cloud & Automation SME

Akkodis is seeking a Data Centre/Cloud & Automation SME for a Contract with a client in Culver City, CA. Responsible for designing and maintaining scalable cloud environments while automating deployments, ensuring system reliability, and enforcing security and compliance standards.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Center/Cloud & Automation SME Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage and support Linux servers, including installation, patching, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Design, provision, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent deployments.

• Automate system configurations, deployments, and operational tasks using Ansible.

• Monitor systems and cloud resources, handle incidents, and perform root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while enforcing security best practices and maintaining documentation.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and data centre operations.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration, AWS services, Terraform, and Ansible for infrastructure automation.

• Proven experience in designing scalable cloud environments, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring security, compliance, and high system availability.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $68.00 per hour
