Lead Systems Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design, integrate, and verifies safety‑critical control systems for APU applications, delivering reliable and compliant system solutions.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify safety‑critical control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).

• Develop control system requirements, perform analysis and decomposition, and ensure validation against standards.

• Execute and document trade studies to support technical and architectural decisions.

• Integrate control system components (LRUs) with APU hardware and software.

• Implement MBSE and digital engineering architecture using tools like IBM ELM and CAMEO.

• Support control algorithm development, testing, and compliance with aerospace regulations and standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience supporting safety‑critical aerospace programs.

• Strong expertise in control system design, integration, and validation for APUs, including requirements analysis and decomposition.

• Hands‑on experience with MBSE, trade study execution, and engineering tools such as IBM ELM (DOORS NG, EWM, ETM) and CAMEO.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
