Akkodis is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design, integrate, and verifies safety‑critical control systems for APU applications, delivering reliable and compliant system solutions.
Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Lead Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, integrate, and verify safety‑critical control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
Develop control system requirements, perform analysis and decomposition, and ensure validation against standards.
Execute and document trade studies to support technical and architectural decisions.
Integrate control system components (LRUs) with APU hardware and software.
Implement MBSE and digital engineering architecture using tools like IBM ELM and CAMEO.
Support control algorithm development, testing, and compliance with aerospace regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years of systems engineering experience supporting safety‑critical aerospace programs.
Strong expertise in control system design, integration, and validation for APUs, including requirements analysis and decomposition.
Hands‑on experience with MBSE, trade study execution, and engineering tools such as IBM ELM (DOORS NG, EWM, ETM) and CAMEO.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
