QA Test Lead/Automation Lead

Akkodis is seeking an QA Test Lead/Automation Lead for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ. This role will lead to QA strategy, automation, and end‑to‑end testing delivery for large transformation programs while ensuring high‑quality releases.

Rate Range: $70/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

QA Test Lead/Automation Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead QA delivery, defining test strategies, plans, and ensuring release readiness for large transformation programs.

• Drive automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), Playwright, and Java across UI and API layers.

• Design and execute end‑to‑end testing, including functional, API, data validation, and regression testing.

• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and promote shift‑left testing practices.

• Manage defect lifecycle, reporting, and stakeholder communication using Jira and QA dashboards.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate business workflows and ensure high product quality.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of experience in QA engineering and test automation roles.

• Strong expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Java) and API testing (REST, Postman).

• Proven experience in CI/CD integration (GitLab), SQL data validation, and leading end‑to‑end QA delivery in Agile environments.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $75.00 per hour
