Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a full-time direct hire Seatbelt Development Engineer for a hybrid role with a global industry leader north of Detroit MI. The Seatbelt Development Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and launch of automotive seatbelt systems. Qualifications include 7+ years of seatbelt development and a Bachelor degree.
Salary Range: $100-115K per year plus annual bonus; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Seatbelt Development Engineer Job Responsibilities Include :
Leads component and system engineering activities to meet safety, performance, cost, and timing targets while ensuring compliance with global regulations and customer requirements.
Works cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to deliver robust, production-ready restraint solutions.
Lead end-to-end technical development of seatbelt systems
Own design decisions, system integration, and technical direction
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, customer, and internal requirements
Drive validation, testing, and readiness for production launch
Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on cost, quality, and timing targets
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
7+ years within Seatbelt design and development
