Test Automation Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Test Automation Architect for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise‑scale quality engineering by designing and governing end‑to‑end test automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Test Automation Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Architect and govern scalable test automation frameworks across UI, API, and backend/data layers.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and shift‑left quality practices.

• Define enterprise‑wide test strategies, automation roadmaps, and regression suite designs.

• Lead end‑to‑end testing efforts include integration, system, and regression testing.

• Evaluate and implement testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured) based on project needs.

• Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and quality reporting in collaboration with Agile teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of experience in QA and test automation engineering.

• Strong expertise in designing enterprise‑scale automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and REST Assured.

• Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and driving Agile/continuous testing and quality governance practices.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $51.00 per hour
