EAF - Senior Engineer Airframe Design / WP Lead (m/w/d)

Ihre Aufgaben:

• Leadership of Airframe Work Packages: Lead the structure design activities for airframe work packages, including complete design of components such as fuselage sections. This involves implementing properties, functional and industrial requirements, interfaces, and configurations.
• Project Planning and Execution: Plan and execute activities according to the overall program schedule across all product development phases, from concept through certification to production ramp-up. Ensure compliance with processes and design organization rules.
• Technical and Resource Management: Provide functional leadership for internal and external resources, act as the technical interface to vendors, and ensure the proper application of defined methods, processes, and tools. Manage engineering service suppliers and align with built-to-print suppliers.
• Structural Integrity and Optimization: Ensure the structural integrity, weight optimization, and performance of airframe components. Propose and approve weight improvement and design-to-cost optimizations, and ensure correct implementation of test setups.
• Digitalization and Quality Assurance: Define and drive opportunities for digitalization and automation of airframe design processes, methods, and tools. Establish check procedures and progress monitoring aligned with the program process to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

Ihr Profil:

• Educational Background: You hold an engineering degree (MA Eng/Sc, Dr./PhD.) in materials, aeronautics/aviation, or mechanical engineering.
• Professional Expertise: You have over 10 years of professional experience in aircraft development and airframe design, with recognized expertise in airframe structures and wide proficiency in certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods, and tools.
• Project Management and Leadership: You have experience in new aircraft development (CS25), leading complex tasks internally and externally, managing multiple simultaneous tasks, and ensuring structural integrity and design optimizations.
• Communication and Coordination: You possess excellent presenting, communication, and leadership skills, capable of instructing complex tasks and coordinating test activities for complex systems or airframes.
• Technical Proficiency: You have practical knowledge of airframe certification requirements, design criteria, and relevant tools such as Matlab, Simulink, and INCA. Your expertise includes digitalization and automation of design processes and methods.
