The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced API Red Hat Developer to join a growing technology team. You will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting enterprise-grade API solutions across the Red Hat ecosystem. This role will see you working with OpenShift, API Management, microservices and container technologies to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing integration solutions.

Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid Working

Australian Citizeship Required | Baseline Clearance Preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Implement API lifecycle management using Red Hat 3scale API Management
• Develop and deploy containerised applications on Red Hat OpenShift
• Implement API security controls including OAuth2, JWT and OpenID Connect
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems using API-led architecture principles
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using DevOps best practices
• Collaborate with architects, developers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
• Support platform governance, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives

What Our Client Requires

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on API development experience using Java, Spring Boot or similar technologies
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
• Experience with Red Hat 3scale API Management
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture and API governance
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing API security controls and authentication frameworks
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Australian Citizenship
