What we need from you:

·      Backup and Recovery Systems Management

·      Must be an Australian Citizen, and have an NV1 security clearance

·      backup tools Knowledge, including Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar

About the Client:

Our Client is one of the leading IT Client in Melbourne.

Skills Required:

·      5+ years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing backup and recovery systems for large-scale enterprise environments.

·      Strong knowledge of enterprise backup tools, including Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar.

Nice to Have:

·      Data protection across physical, virtual & cloud (AWS, Azure)

·      Backup policies, retention, and scheduling at scale

·      Disaster recovery planning & execution

·      Experience with tape, SAN, NAS & cloud storage

·      Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation

·      Backup knowledge: SQL, Oracle, VMware, Hyper-V

Responsibilities

Backup & Recovery Management:

Configure, install, and manage tools like NetBackup, Veeam, or Commvault.

Ensure backup schedules meet SLAs and conduct regular disaster recovery tests.

Performance Optimization:

 

Enhance backup efficiency using best practices (e.g., deduplication, compression) and monitor system performance to resolve bottlenecks.

Incident Management:

Lead resolution of complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
