Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a government client in identifying business requirements and implementing IT solutions to address their needs. This role involves analysing business processes, recommending technology solutions, and facilitating the alignment of technology with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, and experience in both business analysis and ICT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand business operations and recommend technology solutions to meet agency outcomes.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops and facilitate discussions to clarify and negotiate business needs.
- Develop and document business processes and system requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define and refine ICT solutions.
- Provide support in evaluating and prioritizing change initiatives.
- Analyse and identify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency.
- Contribute to feasibility studies and business cases for IT projects.
- Ensure that requirements are communicated effectively to development and testing teams.
- Monitor and mitigate risks during project execution.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.
- Strong skills in requirements development, specification writing, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and gather business requirements effectively.
- Experience in translating business needs into IT solutions.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and risk management frameworks.
- Understanding of business structures, governance frameworks, and ICT operations.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
