Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join our Sydney team, a hunter with Consulting Services background who thrives on building new business in complex Solution Selling environment.
The focus of this role is to is identify and create new growth opportunities for Akkodis ideally from your existing network of contacts aligned with our focus and priority targets. The successful candidate has a proven track record in building new business and prospecting in whitespace. Experience in Public Sector, Public Safety & Justice, Healthcare and Lifesciences, Energy & Clean Technology, Education or Financial Services is an advantage.
You will be responsible for:
- Increasing revenue aligned to assigned territory and targets.
- Net new client acquisition and client qualification.
- Building a healthy qualified sales pipeline, conversion and contracting to support growth.
- Market penetration to increase market share in assigned industry or expansion into new industry segments.
- Developing strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to position Akkodis.
- Lead Generation and Prospecting.
- Developing strategic partnerships to expand market reach and drive business growth in conjunction with
- Industry Leads and Strategic Partnerships.
- Opportunity Qualification and developing pursuit and win strategy for new opportunities.
- Ownership of opportunity and leading the opportunity pursuit across our business.
- Pipeline/opportunity conversion and revenue generation from won opportunities.
- Working with leadership to implement agreed business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Research and understand the competitive landscape to develop strong win themes and unique value proposition of Akkodis.
- Representing Akkodis with clients, partners, stakeholders and attending industry events and participating inprofessional associations.
- Strong business acumen to understand market position, financial implications and key business metrics, trends and competitive dynamics.
Key skills for Business Development Executive experience include:
- 8+ years of experience in business development and strategic sales with a focus on consulting and solution selling.
- Proven track record and performance achieving targets and growth objectives.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills and the ability to identify customer needs, present solutions effectively, handle objections, and negotiate deals to closure.
- Strong understanding of the AWS and Microsoft technology landscapes including Data & AI, Copilot, SharePoint, Dynamics 365 and Azure workloads, with a proven track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with these organisations.
- Strategic thinking to form deep understanding of client’s goals, strategy and objectives with an ability totranslate challenges or problems into opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage audience through storytelling to present Akkodis unique value proposition .
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and additional third-party partners including partnerships that support parallel business initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Creativity to address challenges and obstacles to find innovative solutions and adapt strategies to changing circumstances.

- Proven track record of relationships having worked in the sector at a senior level or performed this role in similar technology organisations.
