Change Manager

Permanent

Sydney, New South Wales

As a Change Manager with Akkodis Australia, you help clients deliver IT and digital transformation that is human-centred, psychologically safe and measurable. You guide stakeholders through ambiguity, build alignment and trust, and design change experiences that support real adoption and the new ways of working the organisation needs. You adapt your approach to each delivery scenario, integrating change activities into project, program or agile delivery environments.

You bring curiosity, empathy and the ability to co-design with multiple groups. You enable teams to test, learn and evolve in short cycles so the solution and the human experience progress together.

    What you will lead:

    Human‑centered change design

    • Shape the HUMAN‑First change journey to support clarity, psychological safety, trust-building and inclusive engagement
    • Facilitate co-design workshops, empathy-based discovery and human-centered impact analysis.

Change delivery within IT project environments

    • Integrate change activities into IT delivery lifecycles including waterfall, hybrid and agile contexts.
    • Work closely with the project team, client SMEs and impacted users to align readiness with releases, technical cutovers and deployment.

    Communication, learning and behavioural adoption

    • Create narratives, messaging and user-focused learning that simplify complex technical change.
    • Support leaders and champions to model behaviours, communicate consistently and remove adoption barriers.

    Micro‑testing and iterative adaptation

    • Lead HUMAN‑First micro-tests and safe experiments to validate new behaviours and processes before full rollout.
    • Use evidence and feedback to adapt plans and reduce risk.

    Measurement and insight

    • Define human-centred success measures including readiness, sentiment, confidence and behavioural indicators.
    • Bring insights to decision-makers to refine strategy, delivery sequencing and adoption support.

    Responsible AI and Ethical Delivery

Akkodis’ transformation and delivery ecosystem increasingly includes AI tools, AI-enabled workflows and automation. Responsible AI practices ensure these capabilities are safe, transparent, equitable and human‑centred. As a Change Manager, you will:

    Embed Responsible AI governance

    • Apply Responsible AI principles outlined in Akkodis governance and advisory frameworks, including transparency, accountability, data minimisation, inclusion and ethical risk management.

    Ensure human-centred AI adoption

    • Support organisations to introduce AI in ways that reinforce psychological safety, trust and human oversight.
    • Ensure AI assists and augments human decision-making rather than replacing judgement or accountability.

    Protect quality, safety and compliance

    • Ensure human review and validation is mandatory for AI‑generated artefacts, analysis or communication.
    • Track and manage AI-related risks including misuse, overreliance, data leakage, quality issues and misalignment across teams.

    Drive transparency and ethical engagement

    • Communicate clearly how AI tools are used, what boundaries exist and how outputs are validated.
    • Facilitate conversations about concerns, ethical implications and workforce impacts to build trust.

    Support AI-integrated delivery models

    • Work within AI-enabled project governance frameworks that include AI-specific stage gates, RAID items and guardrail monitoring.
    • Partner with technical teams delivering AI solutions to ensure the people experience, risks and behavioural impacts are anticipated and managed

    What you bring

    • Human‑centred mindset
    • Change management expertise
    • Responsible AI awareness
    • Adaptive delivery capability
    • Collaboration and facilitation
    • Consulting professionalism

    Qualifications

    • Preferred degree in business, psychology, communications, IT or a related field.
    • Change management credentials such as Prosci, APMG, Lean Change, Agile Change Leadership or equivalent (desirable).
    • Technical literacy across digital, IT or cloud environments is beneficial (for example with Akkodis technology partners AWS or Microsoft ecosystem exposure).
