    We’re looking for experienced Cloud Network and FinOps professionals to support a large, enterprise government cloud environment across AWS and Azure.


    This role spans cloud networking, cost optimisation, and FinOps automation, working in a highly governed, security‑focused environment. 


    Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide 

    Start: Mid‑June 2026 

    Engagement: Contract 

    Clearance: AGSVA Baseline


    Cloud Networking 

     

    • Design, manage and support AWS and Azure networking components 
    • Maintain and optimise VNets / VPCs, NSGs, UDRs, Load Balancers and DNS 
    • Support multi‑region, HA/DR network architectures 
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance and availability issues 
    • Support change management and maintain up‑to‑date network documentation 


    Key experience 

    • Azure & AWS networking services 
    • Routing, IP addressing, firewall rules and segmentation 
    • Network monitoring and diagnostics tools 
    • Experience in regulated or government environments 

     

    FinOps Automation & Engineering 

     

    • Build and maintain automated FinOps controls across AWS and Azure 
    • Develop tagging compliance, cost guardrails and automated reporting 
    • Create scripts and tooling to enforce cost governance and compliance 
    • Implement Terraform‑based tagging and compliance scans 
    • Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to reduce cloud spend 

     

    Key experience 

    • FinOps automation and cost‑compliance scripting 
    • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code 
    • AWS & Azure cost and usage data 
    • Operating within strict governance frameworks 


    FinOps Analysis & Cost Optimisation 

     

    • Analyse cloud usage and expenditure across AWS and Azure 
    • Forecast cloud costs and identify optimisation opportunities 
    • Build dashboards and financial reports for stakeholders 
    • Advise on pricing models (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot) 
    • Support cost allocation, chargeback/showback and governance models 

     

    Key experience 

    • AWS & Azure Cost Management / Budgets / Cost Explorer 
    • Cloud pricing and optimisation strategies 
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills 
    • Working closely with engineering and finance teams

    Profile

    What we’re looking for (overall) 

    • 5–10+ years’ experience across cloud networking and/or FinOps roles 
    • Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure 
    • Automation and scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform) 
    • Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem) 
    • Comfortable working in highly regulated, government environments
