Cloud Platform Arch and Engineer

We’re seeking experienced Cloud Platform Arch and Engineer to support a large government cloud environment spanning AWS and Azure. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide

Start: Mid‑June 2026

Engagement: 6 – 12 months Contract

Clearance: AGSVA Baseline / NV1 / NV2 (mandatory)

What you’ll be doing

·      Hands-on experience managing infrastructure in AWS & Azure environments.

·      Terraform Enterprise, GitHub Actions, pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux.

·      Strong understanding of AWS & Azure IaaS services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, load balancers, NSGs, and availability sets/zones.

·      Experience with infrastructure patching using native AWS & Azure tools.

·      Familiarity with AWS & Azure monitoring and observability tools.

·      Solid troubleshooting skills across computer, networking, and OS-level issues.

What we’re looking for

 

·      10+ years of hands-on Azure &/or AWS cloud platform implementation experience of complex solutions.

·      Deep expertise in Landing zones, identity integration, network segmentation, Terraform, security guardrails.

·      Azure &/or AWS Architecture certifications.

·      Proven experience in producing Landing zone designs, security baselines, network patterns, governance artefacts.

·      Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.

·      Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

·      Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem, configuration management).
