    Cloud Security, Identity & Platform Engineer

    Vault | Kubernetes | IAM | AWS & Azure

    Contract | Government Program

    We’re looking for experienced Cloud Security & Platform Engineers to support a large‑scale government cloud environment across AWS and Azure.

    This role brings together secrets management, container platforms, and identity & access, supporting secure, enterprise‑grade cloud platforms in a highly regulated environment.

    Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide

    Start: Mid‑June 2026

    Engagement: Contract

    Clearance: AGSVA Baseline / NV1 / NV2 (mandatory)

    Citizenship: Australian Citizen


    HashiCorp Vault / Secrets Management

    ·                    Design, implement and operate HashiCorp Vault for secrets, tokens and certificates

    ·                    Develop Vault policies, integration patterns and automation

    ·                    Support secure application onboarding and CI/CD pipeline integration

    ·                    Troubleshoot complex Vault and secrets‑related incidents

    ·                    Define and document best practices, guardrails and standards

    Key experience

    ·                    Strong hands‑on Vault experience in AWS and/or Azure

    ·                    Terraform and CI/CD integration

    ·                    Solid cloud security and networking fundamentals


    Kubernetes & Container Platforms

    ·                    Design and operate Kubernetes platforms (AKS / EKS)

    ·                    Build cluster baselines, security hardening and runtime controls

    ·                    Implement workload identity, RBAC and access controls

    ·                    Automate infrastructure using Terraform and pipelines

    ·                    Deliver monitoring, logging and observability for container platforms

    Key experience

    ·                    Kubernetes architecture and operations

    ·                    Containers (Docker / containerd)

    ·                    AKS / EKS experience in regulated environments


    Identity & Access Management (IAM)

    ·                    Design and operate IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)

    ·                    Build and refine RBAC and least‑privilege access models

    ·                    Remediate privileged and over‑permissioned identities

    ·                    Develop reusable IAM patterns and standards

    ·                    Support access reviews and identity governance activities

    Key experience

    ·                    Strong Microsoft Entra / Azure AD expertise

    ·                    IAM architecture and RBAC design

    ·                    Privileged access remediation and identity security best practices


    What we’re looking for (overall)

    ·                    5–10+ years’ experience across cloud security, IAM, Kubernetes or secrets management

    ·                    Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure

    ·                    Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation experience

    ·                    Comfortable working in government or highly regulated environments

    ·                    Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills


    Nice to have

    ·                    HashiCorp, Kubernetes (CKA/CKS), AWS or Azure certifications

    ·                    DevSecOps experience

    ·                    Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipeline
