Copilot Functional Consultant

The Role

Are you an experienced and motivated consultant with a passion for helping customers get real value from Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI agents? As a Copilot Functional Consultant, you will play a vital role in our customer engagements, working closely with multi-disciplined teams to help customers identify high-value opportunities, design and build AI agents, and embed Copilot into the way they work. Your expertise will help customers move forward with confidence through iterative, consultative engagements, shaping ongoing programs of work that deliver measurable outcomes with M365 Copilot, Agent Builder and Copilot Studio.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand their business, identify where Copilot and agents can deliver real value, and advise on what can and should be done.
• Guide customers through change, bringing a consultative point of view on AI adoption, use case prioritisation, responsible AI, and the evolving Copilot ecosystem.
• Design and hands-on build AI agents using low-code tools including Copilot Studio and Agent Builder, iterating quickly with customers to refine and improve solutions.
• Lead enablement activities including training sessions, masterclasses, hands-on workshops, co-building sessions and coaching, helping customer teams become self-sufficient with M365 Copilot, Agent Builder and Copilot Studio.
• Run iterative engagements and ongoing programs of work, supporting customers on their Copilot journey.
• Collaborate with technical team members on integrations, data sources, governance and extensions needed to support robust agent solutions.
• Create clear, high-quality customer deliverables including solution designs, adoption plans, enablement materials and value-realisation artefacts.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, from end users to executive sponsors, throughout each engagement.
• Offer subject matter expertise on M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agent Builder and the broader Microsoft AI platform, and stay current as the technology evolves at pace.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues in Copilot and agent solutions, working with technical team members as needed.
• Collaborate with engagement and program leads to ensure timely delivery, good use of investment, and strong customer outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a functional consultant on the Microsoft platform, with a track record of advising customers and delivering high-value solutions.
• Hands-on experience building with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Agent Builder, or demonstrable low-code / Power Platform experience and a strong appetite to specialise in agents.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot and how it is applied across business scenarios.
• A consultative mindset, able to advise, explain clearly, enable customers and guide them to the right outcome.
• A genuine curiosity for AI and the ability to keep pace with a rapidly evolving technology landscape, continually learning and bringing new thinking to customers.
• Strong understanding of business processes, enabling you to translate ambiguous business needs into practical agent and Copilot solutions.
• Demonstrable advisory or consultancy experience, with a track record of delivering strategic guidance and helping customers realise value.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, comfortable engaging at all levels from end users to executives.
• Confidence running training sessions, masterclasses, hands-on workshops, co-build sessions and coaching — helping others learn by doing.
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, adept at framing ambiguous challenges and applying AI technology thoughtfully to solve them.
• Comfortable delivering under iterative, outcome-based approaches, including ongoing programs of work.
• Awareness of responsible AI, governance, security and data considerations relevant to Copilot and agent solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing multiple customer engagements at once.
