Contract: Initial 12 months + 1 x 12‑month extension

What we need from you

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Specialist with strong on‑premises and cloud security expertise to support the secure delivery of a major ERP program and broader IT environment.

The role will play a critical part in safeguarding systems, data, and integrations, ensuring alignment with Government standards and industry best practices. This is a hands‑on role, responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting security controls while contributing to security design and assurance activities.

The Role

 

As the Cyber Security Specialist, you will provide hands‑on cybersecurity delivery and operational support across ERP, cloud, and enterprise environments.

You will work within Digital & Technology Services BAU activities while contributing directly to the ERP Program, collaborating with delivery teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to embed security‑by‑design and risk‑based decision‑making.

Responsibilities

·      Implement and uplift cybersecurity controls across ERP, cloud, and enterprise systems

·      Configure and manage security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, and SaaS platforms

·      Implement and manage identity and access controls including SSO, MFA, RBAC, and privileged access

·      Configure and optimise Microsoft security tools including Defender, Sentinel, and Identity Protection

·      Support secure implementation of the TechnologyOne OneCouncil SaaS ERP platform

·      Conduct security reviews of ERP integrations, APIs, data migration activities, and role‑based access

·      Support cloud and SaaS security assurance including identity, data protection, encryption, and vendor controls

·      Apply security‑by‑design principles across integrations, APIs, and connected systems

Support security operations including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response

·      Ensure compliance with VPDSS, ACSC Essential Eight, and Government requirements

·      Support audits, remediation activities, and closure of findings

·      Translate technical risks into clear business impacts for stakeholders

·      Collaborate with ERP teams, technology teams, vendors, and delivery partners
