Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled D365 Fin Ops Technical Developer to join our team in the Information Technology industry. Thriving on a challenge, you will have a successful track record in delivering D365 F&O ERP projects in the Australian market and experience guiding offshore technical and development resources.

Responsibilities

As a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Developer, your role would be to design, develop, and maintain efficient and effective solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365 Finance) application. This involves translating business requirements into technical specifications, writing high-quality code using X++, and ensuring seamless integration with other systems. Additionally, Technical Developers play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members, collaborating with clients, and providing leadership within the development team. Your adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to bridge communication between onshore and offshore teams will contribute to successful project outcomes.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in D365 Finance development, customization, and configuration, including extending D365 Finance & Operations functionality using X++ and developing enhancements.
• Proficient in development languages such as X++, ASP.Net (C#), T-SQL, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of D365 F&O Application Lifecycle Management including Lifecycle Services, Branching Strategies, Maintaining Cloud Environments, Applying Hotfixes, Packaging code deployments and upgrades, and Managing deployments across multiple environments.
• Experience in formulating development guidelines and best practices.
• Experience in designing technical solutions within D365 Finance.
• Familiarity with integration patterns and tools for D365 Finance.
• Knowledge of data migration strategies and best practices.
• Familiarity with development tools including Visual Studio, VSTS/TFS, LCS, Azure, SSRS, and MorphX.
• Additional skills in Power Platform development, D365 F&O Entity Store, D365 F&O Electronic Reporting, and SSRS reports would be highly regarded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients to understand their needs.
• Willingness to guide and mentor junior developers.
• Ability to provide technical leadership within the team, both onshore and offshore.
• Work effectively with functional consultants, business analysts, and project managers.
• Strong project teamwork skills, including experience working in a hybrid Waterfall and Agile methodology environment.
• Individual time management skills and a willingness to adopt a hands-on approach when required.
• Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Developer working with Microsoft D365 Finance.
• Proficiency in X++ programming language and familiarity with MorphX development environment.
• Strong understanding of D365 Finance data structures, security models, and integration patterns.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with offshore development teams is a plus.
• Certifications related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or relevant technologies.
