What we need from you

· Ability to deliver in a mission-critical operations environment
· Flexibility to work 24x7 shifts and participate in the on-call rotation program (must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to reach the datacenter site within 60 minutes)

Our client is a global leader in technology and cloud infrastructure, operating at the forefront of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivery in Australia. Supporting national-scale operations, the organization plays a crucial role in delivering secure, high-performing, and reliable datacenter services to enterprise and government clients.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive experience providing technical support and installations in a high-availability datacenter environment.
· They must have a proven track record in break-fix support, hardware replacement, structured cabling, and managing installations while maintaining adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies.
· Responsible for effective delivery of technical support and installations, including break-fix tasks involving hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments
· Provide 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI datacenter sites as part of a regional standby rotation and shift schedule
· Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software
· Support deployment of on-site datacenter physical infrastructure, with structured cabling installation as a significant component
· Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware in accordance with OCI standards and change management rules
· Work within a ticket-based environment, prioritizing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued technician activities in line with SLAs
· Conduct system board-level repair and fault diagnosis to meet SLA requirements
· Use provided tools to perform accurate and timely internal reporting
· Plan and commission new rack positions and assist in the design and commissioning of new whitespace areas
· Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teams (e.g., Networking, Compute, Compliance, Business Operations)
· Understand internal customer problems and provide timely and effective technical solutions
· Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
