    What we need from you / What our client requires

    ·      Extensive experience designing and managing critical data center infrastructure

    ·      Strong hands-on expertise with electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems in a mission-critical environment

    ·      Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD and Visio

    ·      Knowledge of data center standards, PUE optimisation, and cabling infrastructure best practices

     

     

    We are seeking a Data Center Designer to join our client’s team and play a key role in planning, designing, and maintaining critical data center infrastructure. You will deliver high quality technical solutions, optimise data center operations, and ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance across all sites.

     

    You will provide subject matter expertise, technical leadership, and guidance across the full lifecycle of data center design and operations, including white space layout, electrical/mechanical systems, and infrastructure documentation.

     


    Key Requirements

    ·      Lead design of data center white space, including rack layouts, hot/cold containment, network infrastructure, branch circuits, power, and cabling pathways

    ·      Create and maintain site documentation, including floor plans, rack elevations, and cable matrices

    ·      Review and evaluate RFI, RFP, and RFQ submissions, ensuring requirements are met by vendors and colocation providers

    ·      Participate in project planning, coordination meetings, and schedule management

    ·      Research, evaluate, and implement new designs, materials, and construction methods for electrical and mechanical systems

    ·      Ensure adherence to global data center standards and optimise infrastructure efficiency
