What we need from you / What our client requires
· Must hold NV1 Clearance
· Proven experience as an OpenShift/Kubernetes administrator in enterprise or government settings.
· Strong scripting and automation skills (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, etc.).
· Deep understanding of container orchestration, networking, and security.
· Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (GitOps, CI/CD, monitoring/logging).
We’re seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our client’s team, playing a key role in supporting the digital backbone of essential government services. This critical role involves designing, managing, and maintaining on-premises Red Hat OpenShift environments to support digital government services.
You'll play a key part in the deployment, security, automation, and scaling of OpenShift clusters while leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers. This is a hands-on, leadership role within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Key Requirements
· Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters in enterprise environments.
· Support CI/CD and GitOps pipelines to automate the deployment of containerised services.
· Handle in-place cluster upgrades, resource planning, and performance tuning.
· Develop Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
· Implement cluster security best practices, including RBAC, network segmentation, and vulnerability scanning.
· Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to align tech operations with organisational goals.
