Role – M365 Engineer / Azure Engineer
This role is responsible for the engineering, configuration, and operational support of Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms within a secure government environment. You will play a key role in maintaining compliant, scalable, and well-governed cloud services while supporting critical business operations.
Employment Type: Contract (6 months + extensions)

Clearance: NV1 (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
· Engineer, configure, and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
· Manage Microsoft Entra ID including users, groups, roles, conditional access, and MFA
· Administer Azure resources including subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, and identity integrations
· Maintain tenant configuration, service settings, and governance baselines
· Implement and support security, compliance, and information protection controls
· Support joiner, mover, and leaver processes including provisioning and decommissioning
· Manage licensing, group-based access, and service enablement
· Provide L2/L3 support, incident resolution, and service improvement activities
· Monitor service health, alerts, and platform performance across M365 and Azure
· Maintain documentation including configurations, procedures, and as-built records
· Collaborate with architects and security teams to implement approved solutions
· Support audits, compliance activities, and reporting requirements
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong experience across Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
· Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID (identity, access management, conditional access, MFA)
· Experience administering Azure environments (subscriptions, RBAC, identity integration)
· Understanding of Azure networking and security fundamentals
· Experience implementing security and compliance controls across M365 and Azure
· Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in L2/L3 support environments
· Experience with change, incident, and problem management processes
· Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
· Strong documentation and configuration management discipline
Qualifications & Clearance
· NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)
· Relevant Microsoft certifications (M365, Azure, Security) – highly regarded
· Experience in government or highly regulated environments preferred
· Exposure to Microsoft Purview, Intune, or Sentinel – desirable
· Ability to work within defined architecture and governance frameworks
