The Role

As a result of continued growth, our client now has an exciting opportunity for an NSO Developer to design, develop, and deploy network automation solutions using Cisco NSO.

This role will work closely with network engineering and operations teams to streamline service provisioning, improve efficiency, and support large-scale service provider network environments.


Duties/Typical Day/Responsibilities

  • Design and develop network automation solutions using Cisco NSO
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to deliver automation aligned to business needs
  • Support MPLS/BGP transport network design and engineering
  • Translate business requirements into automation scripts using NSO, Python, and Ansible
  • Develop and integrate solutions across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper)
  • Build and support service provider network architectures and integrations
  • Support IP peering design and integration across service providers
  • Work across multiple routing platforms (IOS-XE, IOS-XR, JUNOS)

Requirements

(ESSENTIAL)

  • Strong experience with Cisco NSO
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with YANG data modelling
  • Knowledge of NETCONF/RESTCONF
  • Strong networking fundamentals (BGP, MPLS, IP)
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments
  • API integration experience (REST)
  • 3–5+ years relevant experience


(IDEAL)

  • Experience with Ansible or other automation tools
  • Multi-vendor network experience (Cisco, Juniper)
  • Background in service provider environments
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and design principles
