The Role
In the role of Procurement Manager with a Government Client, you will take the lead in shaping, implementing, and managing the organization’s commercial and procurement strategy. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to identify procurement needs, source suppliers, and manage contracts that drive efficiency and support the delivery of critical projects.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing suppliers and conducting cost-benefit analyses, to negotiating and finalizing contracts. You will ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization while maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
In this hands-on role, you’ll monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and track progress to ensure optimal outcomes. You will also provide expert commercial advice to senior executives and contribute to continuous improvements in procurement processes, ensuring client achieves the best value and performance from its suppliers.
Your ability to communicate effectively, manage commercial risks, and build strategic partnerships will be essential in delivering procurement excellence. You will also play a key role in promoting procurement improvements across the organization, helping to drive efficiencies, compliance, and innovation in every aspect of the commercial and procurement process.
Duties
Determine supply needs and researching potential suppliers with stakeholders.
Assist the Director Governance for any go to market procurement activities.
Act as a key liaison and communicate pricing and performance needs to vendors and suppliers.
