Opportunity for as experienced Program Communications Officer to provide support for the delivery of audience-driven, communications to support Strategic Initiatives

• Location: ACT, NSW
• Employment: Long term contract
• Eligibility/Security Requirement: Must be able to obtain Baseline

About the role:

The program is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications and Change Officer to support the strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and change efforts of our large-scale digital transformation program. In this role, you will work closely with the Communication Manager and cross-functional teams within the program and across the Department to ensure the development and implementation of effective and consistent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change plans across various channels. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in communication strategy, stakeholder identification and mapping, change management, key messaging, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to driving stakeholder engagement and transparency throughout the transformation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation and Distribution: Develop and disseminate engaging content across multiple channels.
• Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Plan Development and Management: Create and manage comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate events to support program initiatives.
• Planning and Reporting: Develop detailed plans and reports to track progress and outcomes.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support program objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience in communication, stakeholder engagement and change plan development and implementation. Experience is preferred in a government role related to digital transformation or technology projects for large scale transformations including demonstrable experience in strategic thinking.
• Demonstrable experience in solving complex problems based on evidence, analysis and investigation
• Strong track record working in agile and multi-disciplinary teams
• Demonstratable experience in developing and writing change impact analysis, business readiness reviews and communication collateral, aligned to project deliverables and stakeholder needs in a complex environment.
