Role – Program Director (Digital Core Modernisation)

This role provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for a large-scale, multi-year digital transformation program focused on modernising core enterprise platforms including ERP, customer systems, asset management, data and integration services.

You will act as the key interface between senior leadership, business stakeholders and delivery partners, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy, clear benefits realisation and successful organisational change.

 

Employment Type: Contract – 6 months + extensions

Work Model: Hybrid

Location: Brisbane (Fortitude Valley)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Digital Core Modernisation Program, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and governance frameworks
• Oversee integrated delivery across business, technology, data, cybersecurity and change streams
• Establish and manage program roadmap, schedule, risks, issues and interdependencies
• Drive benefits realisation and ensure outcomes are embedded into business operations
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership, executive forums and governance bodies
• Manage stakeholder relationships across business units, vendors and implementation partners
• Oversee program financials, budgeting, forecasting and vendor performance
• Lead organisational change planning, communications and readiness activities
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance and security standards

 

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation or core system modernisation programs (ERP, CRM, asset management, cloud, data platforms, integration)
• Strong background in delivering complex, multi-stream programs across business and technology domains
• Experience modernising legacy systems, processes and data environments
• Demonstrated capability in organisational change management and transformation delivery
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and data governance
• Extensive experience managing vendors, contracts and large program budgets
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders

 

Qualifications & Clearance

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in IT, Business, Engineering or related field (desirable)
• Certifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, PROSCI or equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in program delivery leadership roles
• Experience in utilities or asset-intensive environments highly regarded
