Reconciliation Action Plan Project Lead

In January of 2024 the Adecco Group Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. Since January we have made strong progress on a number of the actions in the plan supported by our working group. We are now looking for a RAP Project Lead who will be responsible for driving the continued implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the RAP. This role involves working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives aimed at promoting reconciliation, understanding, and positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Adecco Group RAP: Review and implement the organisation's Reconciliation Action Plan in line with Reconciliation Australia's framework.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations, to build strong and respectful relationships.
- Promote Awareness: Promote understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and achievements within the organization.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor progress and report on the implementation of the RAP to the organization and Reconciliation Australia.
- Policy Development: Contribute to policy and strategy development related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and community engagement.
- Training and Education: Design and deliver cultural awareness training programs and resources to educate employees about the importance of reconciliation and the RAP.
- Communication: Develop communication strategies and materials to promote RAP initiatives both internally and externally.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: Proven experience in implementing and managing programs or initiatives related to reconciliation, community development, or diversity and inclusion.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Skills: Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Education - Desirable: Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

Additional Requirements
- Travel: This is a full-time position. Some travel may be required for community engagement and meetings.
