Your Role

Barhead is one of Australia's leading Microsoft-aligned services businesses, specialising in business applications and Copilot. We help our customers turn AI ambition into measurable business outcomes, designing, building and adopting solutions on the Microsoft AI Business Solutions stack. We are appointing a Senior Account Executive to grow our presence across the Microsoft SME&C Corporate Commercial territory in Australia.


Role Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Sydney team a hunter with a Microsoft services background who thrives in a complex, AI-led solution-selling environment. You will identify and create new growth opportunities for Barhead across our SME&C territory, working hand-in-glove with Microsoft's specialist sales units, the AIBS Business Process and AIBS Workforce teams to bring AI-led business transformation to our customers. The successful candidate has a proven track record of building new business through co-sell with Microsoft, is energised by being in front of customers, and brings industry pattern-recognition across commercial sectors such as Professional Services, Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Energy and Healthcare.


You will be responsible for:

  • Owning a defined SME&C territory and growing services revenue against assigned targets.
  • Net new logo acquisition and qualification of greenfield Microsoft AI Business Solutions opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a healthy, qualified pipeline through co-sell with Microsoft's AIBS Business Process and AIBS Workforce specialist sellers.
  • Spending the majority of your week on site with Microsoft sellers and with customers not behind a screen.
  • Leading customer conversations on AI-led business transformation, anchored on Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Contact Centre), Power Platform, Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio
  • Cross-selling the broader Akkodis portfolio Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Security, Akkodis Academy and change & adoption services into the same customer base.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with Microsoft account teams, specialist sellers, partner managers and customer executives.
  • Opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy, and end-to-end ownership of the deal cycle through to contracting and won revenue.
  • Representing Barhead at Microsoft events, customer briefings, industry forums and partner-led activities in market.
  • Working closely with the VP Microsoft Business Solutions and Barhead leadership to align territory plans with our go-to-market priorities.
  • Researching the competitive landscape to develop sharp win themes and articulate Barhead's unique value proposition.
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene and CRM discipline

Key skills for the Senior Account Executive include:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development and strategic sales, with a strong focus on Microsoft services and solution selling.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets selling Microsoft Business Applications and Copilot services to commercial customers.
  • Demonstrable experience co-selling with Microsoft account, ATU and specialist teams and able to name the relationships you bring.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft AI Business Solutions landscape: Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Contact Centre), Power Platform, Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio.
  • Working knowledge of the broader Microsoft estate that Barhead and Akkodis bring to customers Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Security to enable confident cross-sell conversations.
  • Strong consulting / professional services orientation: comfortable scoping outcomes, statements of work, services margin and multi-phase delivery.
  • Sydney-based and in-market: willing and energised to spend the majority of your time on site with Microsoft sellers and customers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills able to translate technology into business outcomes for senior buyers.
  • Strong network of senior stakeholders across Australian commercial customers, with the ability to expand quickly.
  • Industry pattern-recognition across commercial sectors Professional Services, Financial Services, Retail & Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Energy & Resources, Auto / Mobility / Transport or Healthcare.
  • Strategic thinking with the discipline to execute tactically — translating customer goals into pursuit and win strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, contracting and commercial acumen.
  • Active listening, empathy and the ability to build trust quickly with both Microsoft and customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with delivery, pre-sales, partner and marketing teams to shape compelling proposals
  • Highly motivated self-starter, resilient under setbacks, with a positive, growth mindset.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth environment and comfortable operating with autonomy.
