📍 Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)
⏳ Contract: Initial contract with extension options
🔒 Security Clearance: Baseline or ability to obtain (preferred)
A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support strategic, digital, service delivery and business transformation initiatives. This role will work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and business areas to drive analysis activities, clarify requirements, manage dependencies and support decision-making in complex delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops, business analysis and requirements elicitation activities.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Develop business cases, options papers and recommendations.
- Analyse business processes, data flows, business rules and reporting requirements.
- Support Agile delivery teams through complex transformation initiatives.
- Manage dependencies across multiple vendors, delivery partners and shared service environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated Senior Business Analyst experience on complex transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Experience in Federal Government and large enterprise environments.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and business process improvement expertise.
- Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver practical business outcomes.
Desirable
- BABOK certification or equivalent Business Analysis experience.
- Experience with Human-Centred Design (HCD), User-Centred Design (UCD) and Digital Service Standards.
- Experience analysing data, reporting requirements and business impacts.
