About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Architect (EL1) to join one of our government clients in Brisbane.
As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you will lead and manage security architecture projects, collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals. You will be responsible for applying your expertise in cyber security best practices and Australian Government security standards and driving positive outcomes that contribute to the overall objectives of the Agency.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to projects that support the delivery of health services and systems to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring that our work is both impactful and inclusive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead security architecture initiatives and ensure the security design and delivery of ICT systems.
- Apply extensive knowledge of cyber security best practices and Australian Government security frameworks, including the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security architecture and solutions to mitigate risks and address common design problems.
- Provide strategic leadership by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Manage complex security assessments, including IRAP, security testing, and Threat and Risk Assessments.
- Drive outcomes within a diverse, high-performing team while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven expertise in cyber security, including experience in security architecture, risk management, and security operations.
- Strong understanding of Australian Government security standards (ISM, PSPF) and security certification and accreditation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex security projects and deliver quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present security advice to stakeholders at both technical and business levels.
- Experience mentoring and developing a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to manage strategic security requirements and documentation for large ICT systems.
