Our valued federal government client is seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team on an exciting 12-month contract opportunity based in Canberra. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to provide and support the necessary environments that enable the swift and efficient delivery of services, utilizing automation and self-service approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software using languages such as Python, Java, and others, to meet business requirements.
- Deliver scripting in languages like JavaScript and secondary skills such as SQL.
- Lead the development of software to support high-quality user experience outcomes.
- Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
- Contribute to and support leadership efforts to improve engineering processes.
- Identify system inter-dependencies and liaise with other stakeholders to resolve conflicts and coordinate solutions.
- Work as a lead member of an integrated agile team.
- Document technical processes.
- Develop and report on schedules and progress.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Kafka, Linux, Java, and Python.
- Experience in designing and implementing technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of data management in accordance with organizational policies.
- Experience working with tools like NiFi, S3, Flink, OIDC, and Prometheus/Grafana/Loki is a plus.

- Hold a NV2 clearance
