Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for one our clients to lead the Wireless Traffic Sensors (WTS) Capability Improvements Project, focused on optimising and modernising data transfer systems that support operational and reporting functions. You will work with vendors, ICT teams, and business stakeholders to deliver system enhancements, refresh business requirements, manage risks, drive capability uplift, and develop key project artefacts supporting future procurement activities.

Location: Brisbane CBD  (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 12 months + extension

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for one our clients to lead the Wireless Traffic Sensors (WTS) Capability Improvements Project, focused on optimising and modernising data transfer systems used for operational traffic reporting. You will drive system enhancements, coordinate requirement gathering, manage risks, and develop key artefacts that support both current delivery and future procurement activities.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven project management experience within technical, data-driven, or intelligent transport environments.

• Strong understanding of government ICT policies, governance, and frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate requirements workshops, and bridge communication between technical and business teams.

• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, schedules, and structured reporting.

• Strong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.

Highly Desirable

• Experience delivering projects in intelligent transport systems (ITS) or real-time data environments.

• Background with wireless technologies, traffic sensor systems, or data transfer infrastructure.

• Experience preparing procurement artefacts and documenting technical/business requirements.
