Solution Architect

Role – Solution Architect / Technical Business Analyst

This role combines Solution Architecture and Technical Business Analysis, acting as a key bridge between business and IT. You will engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions. A key focus will be on ERP (including TechnologyOne) and enterprise system initiatives within a local government environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into technical solutions

• Lead end-to-end requirements lifecycle including elicitation, documentation, and validation

• Design scalable, secure, and integrated end-to-end technology solutions

• Develop architecture artefacts including application, data, and integration designs

• Lead and support ERP initiatives, with a strong focus on TechnologyOne platforms

• Ensure alignment across enterprise systems, integrations, and business processes

• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions

• Contribute to technology roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance processes

• Support vendor selection, RFQ processes, and solution evaluation

• Assist with testing, UAT, and implementation activities

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and enterprise architecture frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Capabilities & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect and/or Technical Business Analyst in enterprise environments

• Strong ERP experience is mandatory, with hands-on exposure to TechnologyOne highly preferred

• Demonstrated experience working within Local Government / Council environments (mandatory)

• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform

• Solid understanding of solution architecture, integration patterns (APIs, middleware), and cloud platforms

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and communication skills

• Experience across SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and digital service delivery

• Familiarity with ITIL, TOGAF, or similar frameworks is advantageous

Qualifications & Clearance

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field

• 10+ years’ experience in business analysis, solution architecture, or enterprise systems delivery

• Proven experience working across business and IT in complex environments
