Our Federal Government department is seeking multiple System Analyst to join their teams to design, create, evaluate and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.
The client is looking to fill multiple positions from APS5 to EL1 across System Analyst and Solutions Design opportunities. The client is open to candidates based in ACT, QLD, SA.
System Analyst:
Senior Systems Analysts are responsible for translating business needs into ICT system requirements and specifications for enhancements. It includes designing, analyzing and documenting software systems to meet business expectations. They are responsible for writing functional specifications from the business requirements.
Solutions Design Manager:
Solution Design Managers exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider agency implications, with work being performed under the general guidance of senior staff. In performing a leadership role, Solution Design Managers drive innovation, change in workplace practices and organize work in the context of competing priorities and strategic direction.
Suitable Candidates will be required to
- Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements.
- Create solution designs and implement solutions to meet business needs.
- Create and maintain solution documents.
- Conduct testing activities such as test planning, execution coverage reviews, and defect management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects.
- Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design, and testing documents.
- Review research, process models, and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedback.
- Resolve or escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions.
- Perform cost analysis activities as required.
- Manage the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems.
