Role – Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support major infrastructure, cloud and data transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment.

Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, architects, infrastructure specialists and vendors, you will play a key role in translating business requirements into clear, traceable technical requirements. You will support the delivery of cloud, infrastructure and data migration projects by ensuring requirements, dependencies, risks and acceptance criteria are well defined and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for a Business Analyst with strong technical capability and experience working on infrastructure, cloud or enterprise technology projects.

Employment Type and Duration: Contract 12 months plus extensions

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

Location: Kelvin Grove, Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

·      Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements across multiple projects

·      Translate stakeholder needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications

·      Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, cyber security teams and vendors

·      Develop and maintain requirements catalogues, traceability matrices and analysis artefacts

·      Analyse infrastructure environments, integrations, dependencies, workflows and data flows

·      Support solution design, service design and infrastructure delivery activities

·      Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, solutions, testing and project deliverables

·      Support sprint planning, backlog management and Agile delivery processes using Jira and Confluence

·      Assist with UAT, solution validation, defect management and implementation readiness activities

·      Collaborate with project teams to support governance, risk management and delivery assurance activities

Required Skills & Experience

·      Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst on infrastructure, cloud or enterprise technology projects

·      Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical and infrastructure requirements

·      Experience producing requirements documentation, process maps, data flow diagrams, traceability matrices and analysis artefacts.

·      Proven ability to manage end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle

·      Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

·      Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, networking, identity and security services

·      Experience using Jira and Confluence in Agile delivery environments

·      Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure

·      Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

·      Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects and delivery streams

Qualifications & Clearance

·      Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst within infrastructure, cloud or technology delivery projects highly regarded

·      Experience delivering projects within Higher Education, Government or large enterprise environments highly regarded

·      Experience with AWS, Azure, cloud migration or M365 projects advantageous

Experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub or CloudFormation highly regarded

·      Experience working with VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation environments highly regarded

·      Relevant AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications will be highly regarded
