Role – Role summary

This role is responsible for delivering and supporting technical solution design artefacts across Minor Works initiatives. You will contribute to architecture assessments, develop high-level and detailed designs, and support design assurance to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, aligned with enterprise standards, and successfully approved through governance.

Employment Type and duration: Contract

Work model: Hybrid (2 days remote / 3 days onsite)

Location: Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-level designs (HLDs) and detailed technical design artefacts

• Support architecture assessments and solution design across applications, integration, and infrastructure

• Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and SMEs

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and governance requirements

• Support design governance forums and approval processes

• Contribute to Minor Works initiatives in a fast-paced delivery environment

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Capabilities & Experience

• Strong experience in technical solution design and design assurance (non-architect level)

• Experience producing HLDs, detailed designs, and architecture assessments

• Exposure to integration technologies (API Gateway, ESB) and Azure cloud platform

• Broad understanding across applications, integration, and infrastructure domains

• Ability to work with SMEs and translate technical inputs into clear design artefacts

• Experience working in enterprise digital environments and Minor Works delivery

·      Spatial: ESRI platform, ArcGIS, FME, Geocortex/VertiGIS

·      Document Management: IBM Content Manager

·      Network: Checkpoint, Palo alto, SD-WAN, Meraki

·      End User Computing: Mobile telephony, Mobile computing, Audio Visual

·      Cyber Security: Modern product suite

·      Learning Management System (LMS)

·      HR/Payroll: Workday, Chris21

Qualifications & Clearance

• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or related field (preferred)

• Proven experience in similar Technical Specialist / Solution Design roles

• Ability to work within governance and compliance frameworks
