    Departmental Marketing Statement
    The service of Project Engineer Sustainability (PE sustainability) is situated in the department Global
    Technology, Engineering & Launch (GTEL) Clinical manufacturing. Clinical manufacturing is key in bringing new
    molecules from lab development work until launch for a broad portfolio of innovative vaccines, biologicals and
    small molecules. Our department forms the bridge between R&D development activities and the manufacturing
    process in commercial plants. To further improve the sustainability of our manufacturing processes and future
    products, we are looking for a PE sustainability.

    We strongly believe in teamwork! Hence, the tasks listed below are typical for the PE sustainability, but the result
    of the team is paramount.
    Tasks
    The PE will be involved in various sustainability related efforts for the Puurs Clinical manufacturing.
    Key responsibilities are:
    • Identify, evaluate & follow-up different (potential) sustainability projects for Puurs Clinical manufacturing
    • Collaborate and communicate with different departments within Pfizer (Puurs & global) and external parties
    to collect necessary information & data on sustainability projects.
    • Contribute to tools that enable the assessment of the environmental impact of different options when
    making business decisions
    • Ensure that new facilities and new processes within the Clinical Manufacturing are designed or operated
    to ensure sustainable manufacturing.

    • Hands-on (engineering) mindset with a strong personal affinity for sustainability
    • Able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams & to interact with different stakeholders
    • Flexible, can thrive in a dynamic environment
    • Can think both high level/strategic and at the same time be hands-on when doing data collection or
    preparing & executing tests/analyses
    • High sense of personal ownership towards sustainability
    • Willing to understand the end-to-end pharmaceutical (aseptic) manufacturing processes


    Qualifications
    • Master with relevant scientific discipline or equivalent, preferably with prior manufacturing related
    experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Analytical
    • Strong data management skills
    • Basic programming skills (Excel VBA/…)
    • Fluent written and oral knowledge of English
