The Client is seeking an Intermediate Cloud Strategist to drive cost optimization and financial governance across its cloud environments. The ideal candidate will blend cloud platform expertise with strong financial acumen to deliver cost transparency and accountability.

Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         3+ years' experience driving cloud cost optimization and identifying underutilized resources

·         4+ years' experience using Apptio (Cloudability), Azure Cost Management, and Power BI for reporting

·         Proven expertise in implementing cloud tagging and resource management policies

·         Demonstrated success in optimizing FinOps tools for actionable insights and cross-departmental transparency

·         Hands-on experience leading FinOps tool onboarding, ensuring accurate data, role-based access, and aligned reporting

Key Responsibilities:

·         Implement cloud cost optimization strategies and collaborate with engineering/product teams for cost-effective design

·         Develop and enforce a comprehensive cloud tagging governance framework to ensure spend visibility and accountability

·         Oversee FinOps tooling implementation and continuous improvement

·         Partner with finance teams to build accurate, multi-year cloud cost forecasts aligned with business plans
