Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist

The Client is seeking an Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support quality assurance efforts across a range of I&IT projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in manual and automated testing, test planning, and validating both functional and non-functional requirements.

Job Title: Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         5+ years of experience developing manual test cases, test scripts, and test data

·         Experience creating test strategies/plans and maintaining traceability matrices

·         Proven expertise in testing non-functional requirements (e.g., security, data integrity, fail-over)

·         Hands-on experience executing various test types: integration, regression, functional, accessibility, and performance

Key Responsibilities:

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute manual and automated test plans

·         Support front-end and back-end application testing, including UAT and post-implementation validation

·         Create robust test scripts using tools like Selenium and Appium

·         Maintain traceability of test cases to business requirements

·         Record and track defects in Jira and contribute to defect review meetings

·         Provide test result reporting and updates during daily scrums and weekly status meetings
