Position: Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support quality assurance, testing strategy, automation, accessibility compliance, and validation activities for enterprise-level applications and technology solutions.
The successful consultant will participate in all phases of the software testing lifecycle, including test planning, manual and automated testing, performance testing, accessibility compliance validation, defect management, and user acceptance testing. This role requires strong experience working within Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, secure, and accessible digital solutions.
Scope
Provide recommendations on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and resource requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities for enterprise applications in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
Develop and execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance tests.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and test execution reports.
Assignment Deliverables
Comprehensive testing strategies and test plans.
Functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, load, and stress testing documentation.
Automated test scripts and reusable automation assets.
Test execution reports, defect reports, and quality dashboards.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing within enterprise-level IT environments.
Hands-on experience performing both manual and automated testing.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall software development and testing methodologies.
Extensive experience with AODA testing and accessibility compliance validation.
Experience developing and maintaining testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, or similar platforms.
Experience using performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent solutions.
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
Nice to Have:
Experience testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
Knowledge of object-oriented testing methodologies and environments.
Experience with information management principles, practices, and standards.
