Position: Junior Software Developer
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications and technology solutions. The successful consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, analysts, and project teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for a software development professional with experience in application design, programming, testing, troubleshooting, database technologies, and software development lifecycle methodologies. The role includes participation in new development initiatives, system enhancements, application support, and technology modernization projects.
Scope
Translate technical and business requirements into working, tested software applications.
Develop detailed programming specifications and technical documentation.
Design, code, test, debug, and implement application components and enhancements.
Conduct unit testing and support integration testing activities.
Assignment Deliverables
Application design specifications and technical documentation.
Well-tested, maintainable, and scalable application code.
Unit test plans, test results, and defect resolution documentation.
Technical analysis and troubleshooting reports.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Experience translating technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
Experience developing detailed programming specifications and technical designs.
Experience writing, maintaining, testing, and debugging application code.
Experience conducting unit testing and supporting quality assurance activities.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving software and application issues.
Experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with structured methodologies for application design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and best practices.
Security Clearance
