    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IAM Specialist to join our Ontario Government client’s team. This role involves sustaining large identity systems and application implementations, focusing on Oracle Identity and Access Management (OIAM) Suite and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IAM systems administration, application deployment, and problem management.

    Must Haves:

    • 10+ years of experience sustaining (administration, operations, support, patching, monitoring, starting/stopping) COTS-based identity and access management systems.

    • 10+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large application implementations using the following technology products: Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite, OHS, Tomcat, Windows Internet Information Server (IIS), IBM HTTP Server, Apache, IBM WebSphere, Oracle database 19c, Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition, Solaris, Windows, AIX, and Linux.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Sustainment of Large Identity Systems – 30%

    • Sustain and manage large-scale COTS-based identity and access management systems, including Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite Plus, with a preference for experience with OIAM 12C.

    • Ensure systems are running efficiently by performing regular maintenance tasks, including patching, monitoring, and system operations.

    • Manage implementations with over 10,000 registered users to ensure stability and security.

    • Utilize Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) for COTS implementations and integrate tools like Nagios for system monitoring.

    2. Sustainment of Large Application Implementations – 30%

    • Design, deploy, and sustain large application implementations using technologies such as Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite.

    • Manage application servers and middleware platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.

    • Implement ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity Management.

    3. Incident and Problem Management – 20%

    • Provide expertise in incident and problem management, particularly in identity and access management systems.

    • Triage, analyze, diagnose, and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

    • Lead decision-making processes to resolve critical incidents effectively.

    4. Quality Assurance – 10%

    • Apply quality control and assurance methodologies to ensure the successful implementation of applications with over 10,000 users.

    • Manage Change Management and Release Management processes to support large-scale application deployments.

    • Use automated testing tools, such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), to ensure the reliability of deployed solutions.

    5. Soft Skills – 10%

    • Lead new implementations or migrations of Oracle OIAM, focusing on design, build, testing, and deployment phases.

    • Tune the performance of large applications to meet or exceed operational requirements.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills to work effectively in a team and with stakeholders.

    • Demonstrate working knowledge of IT security technologies, particularly encryption and authentication technologies such as PKI, PMI, and SSL.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Experience with Nagios and other system monitoring tools (e.g., Big Brother).

    • Experience with Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) or its predecessors for COTS implementations.

    • Experience in high-stakes environments with strong knowledge of IT security technologies and standards.
