About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale application and cloud architectures. The successful consultant will bring deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, enterprise integration, and application architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems aligned with organizational and public sector standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to bridge business and technology perspectives across complex environments.

Scope

• Define and design enterprise application and data architecture

• Lead Azure-based cloud architecture initiatives including security, networking, and identity

• Oversee integration patterns across APIs, middleware, and microservices

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solution,

Assignment Deliverables

• Application architecture blueprints and solution designs

• Integration architecture and API design documentation

• Enterprise architecture models and supporting documentation

• Technical specifications and architecture decision records.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Strong experience in application, data, and information architecture

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture (security, networking, identity, data services, monitoring)

• Extensive experience in enterprise integration (APIs, ESB, microservices, middleware technologies)

• Proven experience designing scalable architectures in complex environments

• Strong understanding of cross-platform application and distributed systems.  

Nice to Have:

• Experience designing multi-tier application architectures

• Prior Public Sector Architecture exp.

• Experience with large-scale application development and workflow systems.
