Position: Senior Automation Developer
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Developer to provide advanced test automation, quality assurance, API testing, performance testing, accessibility testing, and technical testing support for complex enterprise applications.
The successful consultant will bring extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Playwright, automated testing frameworks, JMeter, ReadyAPI/Postman, DevOps, Agile delivery, and test automation development.
This role requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test strategy and planning, automated API testing, performance testing, systems integration testing, and accessibility compliance.
Scope
Identify opportunities to automate software testing processes and workflows.
Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated QA test scripts.
Develop and utilize robust test automation frameworks.
Conduct automated functional, integration, API, regression, and performance testing.
Assignment Deliverables
Automated test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
Reusable automated testing frameworks and automation assets.
Automated functional, regression, integration, and API testing solutions.
Performance and load testing scripts, execution results, and analysis.
Test automation solutions using Microsoft Playwright and other applicable automation tools.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
10+ years of experience planning, organizing, and implementing software testing activities.
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Playwright for automated testing within DevOps environments.
Extensive experience in Test Automation Development.
Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
Strong experience with JMeter for performance testing.
Extensive experience with ReadyAPI and Postman.
Experience performing automated API testing.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of AODA accessibility requirements and standards.
Experience with enterprise applications such as Siebel.
Experience with payment gateway services and enterprise integrations.
Security Clearance
