Senior Business Analyst

The Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the modernization of its Social Assistance reporting platform, transitioning from a legacy Cognos system to a scalable, agile solution that meets evolving program and Ministry needs.

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         Strong experience in agile environments, including backlog management and sprint planning

·         Proficiency in requirement elicitation and user story development

·         Skilled in stakeholder collaboration and technical documentation

·         Experience with data profiling and analysis, preferably using Databricks

Key Responsibilities:

·         Collaborate with the product owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog

·         Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives

·         Gather and clarify business requirements and convert them into actionable user stories

·         Ensure alignment between business goals and development deliverables

·         Analyze and refine the existing data model to support operational and analytical reporting

·         Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation and reporting

Work closely with stakeholders to validate solutions and ensure user needs are met
