Position: Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking two experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large‑scale Primary Care Information Exchange initiative within the health system. This engagement focuses on enabling standardized and secure exchange of essential clinical information to improve patient care coordination, continuity of care, and clinical decision‑making across the health‑care continuum. The consultant will work collaboratively with business partners, product owners, architects, developers, UI/UX designers, and external vendors to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new builds and system enhancements using Agile methodologies.
Scope
Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, non‑functional, integration, and data requirements for healthcare IT initiatives
Collaborate with product owners, vendors, architects, developers, and UI/UX teams to define and refine user stories and maintain Agile backlogs
Support Agile delivery through participation in sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives
Facilitate stakeholder workshops and governance meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow‑ups.

Expertise Required
Must Have:
7+ years working experience as a Business Analyst on Health care/IT projects
3+ years of working experience on medium-to-high complexity Agile initiatives
Work with lines of Agency assets such as Primary Care Information Exchange (PCIE), (business, architects, developers, UI and UX designers to collect and analyze requirements (i.e. business, integration, interface, data, and non-functional requirements) for new builds, enhancements)
Work with both primary care vendors and Agency asset product owners to create/update/refine user stories, leverage techniques to drive out business priorities and maintain backlog.
Manage multiple tasks, work assignments simultaneously, and meet delivery dates, while working under pressure and tight deadlines.
Document business and system solutions using Agile methodology techniques, as well as support the development of test scripts for end-to-end functional testing.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern digital health architectures
Familiarity with PHIPA and healthcare privacy/security practices.
