Position: Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Remote: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Remote, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale business transformation, modernization, and technology initiatives. The successful consultant will provide strategic business analysis services, working closely with business stakeholders, executive sponsors, project teams, and technical resources to ensure that technology solutions align with organizational goals and operational objectives.
This role requires expertise in requirements management, stakeholder engagement, Public Service, business process analysis, strategic advisory services, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within complex I&IT environments.
Scope
Lead business analysis activities for complex enterprise technology and transformation initiatives.
Elicit, analyze, document, validate, prioritize, and manage business, functional, non-functional, process, and data requirements.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, focus groups, and requirements gathering sessions.
Conduct current-state and future-state assessments and identify opportunities for business process improvement.
Assignment Deliverables
Develop and maintain business requirements, use cases, process models, workflows, business rules, and traceability documentation.
Conduct current-state and future-state analysis and provide recommendations for business process improvement and service modernization.
Produce governance artifacts including business cases, options analyses, risk assessments, executive briefings, and decision support materials.
Maintain requirements traceability, risk logs, issue management documentation, and project Public Service records.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Extensive experience providing business analysis services for complex I&IT initiatives involving diverse business and technology stakeholders.
Expertise eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, prioritizing, and managing business, functional, non-functional, process, and data requirements.
Experience facilitating requirements gathering workshops, interviews, focus groups, and stakeholder consultations.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate business problems, opportunities, risks, and strategic objectives.
Experience conducting current-state and future-state analysis and identifying business process improvement opportunities.
Experience ensuring compliance with Public Service Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture standards, SDLC methodologies, and project gating requirements.
Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Azure DevOps, and business analysis tools.
Nice to Have:
Experience using requirements management tools such as Azure DevOps, IBM DOORS, or similar platforms.
Experience developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and executive-level recommendations.
