Position: Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex business transformation, business process automation, and systems modernization initiatives within a large public sector environment.
The successful consultant will provide a comprehensive range of business analysis services to stakeholders with diverse business and technology requirements. The role requires expertise in requirements elicitation, business process re-engineering, workflow automation, business rule management, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery methodologies, and healthcare-related business solutions. The consultant will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, and leadership to ensure business needs are accurately documented and translated into effective technology solutions.
Scope
Elicit, analyse, document, validate, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct business process analysis, process re-engineering, and workflow optimization activities.
Support projects leveraging business rules engines and business process automation platforms.
Develop business models, use case models, data models, process flow diagrams, and business rules documentation.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, and requirements gathering exercises.

Business Process Models and Workflow Diagrams
Use Case Models and Use Case Surveys
Conceptual and Logical Data Models.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Demonstrated experience in business analysis supporting systems development using a rules engine or business process automation platform.
Experience developing business models, use case models, conceptual and logical data models, process and data flow models, use case surveys, test cases, business rules definitions, and non-functional requirements.
Demonstrated experience working on projects using Agile development methodologies.
Demonstrated experience leading and conducting business analysis to assess business problems and opportunities and documenting business requirements.
Experience conducting policy and business analysis that can be accommodated within existing frameworks and technology solutions.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, concepts, and practices.
Experience translating business and data requirements into technical specifications.
Experience with business process mapping, business event modeling, and functional modeling techniques.
