Position: Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to provide comprehensive business analysis services supporting complex business and technology initiatives.
The successful consultant will bring extensive experience leading requirements-gathering workshops, analyzing business problems and opportunities, developing business cases, creating user stories and process models, and translating complex business requirements into clear functional and technical deliverables.
The role requires strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, enterprise business architecture, SDLC, change management, quality assurance and user-centred design, along with hands-on experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, Figma and other business/process modelling tools.
Scope
Assess complex business problems, opportunities and requirements and translate them into actionable business and technical requirements.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit, validate, document and confirm requirements.
Support business process re-engineering, business modelling, business rules and user-interface design.
Develop business cases, options analyses, cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies.
Support Agile delivery by creating user stories and breaking complex requirements into manageable development deliverables.
Assignment Deliverables
Produce comprehensive business and technical requirements, user stories, use cases and supporting documentation.
Develop context diagrams, process maps, stakeholder maps, use-case models and system diagrams.
Prepare business cases, options analyses, feasibility assessments and cost-benefit/ROI analyses.
Support the development of UX, functional and technical solution designs.
Maintain requirements traceability throughout iterative development and implementation cycles.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Leads and facilitates workshops to elicit, review, document, and confirm business requirements, business process reengineering, business models, business rules, and user interface design.
Creates user stories, supports the creation of UX, functional, and technical designs, and ensures that business analysis tasks align with iterative development cycles.
Develops performance measures for business analysis evaluations and conducts follow-up assessments to ensure compliance with client clusters and corporate I&IT strategies, policies, and priorities.
Proficient in a range of business analysis and project management tools (e.g., DevOps, MS Visio, Figma, and other modeling tools) to document and track business requirements and designs.
Experience developing context diagrams, use cases, and use case models.
Experience with enterprise business architectural concepts to ensure that recommended technologies align with OPS standards.
Experience developing business cases from start to finish.
Nice to Have:
Experience with information management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
Experience translating business and data requirements into specifications for technology solutions.
Knowledge of structured and object-oriented analysis methodologies.
